Akron Civil War Memorial Society

The Akron Civil War Memorial Society was established in 2001 with the purpose of restoring the Memorial Chapel to its original beauty.  The Chapel Restoration Project was a stunning success as evidenced by the beautiful condition the Memorial Chapel is in today.  The society is a private foundation that continues to provide perpetual maintenance for the Chapel.  The Memorial Chapel is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings, and is considered one of the most notable monuments built in honor of those who fought in the Civil War.

As with any historic building, the maintenance and care is a continuous process which can run into many thousands of dollars each year.  If you would like to help fund the perpetual care of the Memorial Chapel, please call the office, or you may use the following link for more information on how to donate.
