The restoration of the historic Glendale Bell Tower is currently under way.
The bell has been silent for many years. The condition of the tower has greatly deteriorated over the years. The objective is to return the bell tower and the surrounding hillside to their former glory. The restoration will encompass the stone tower, the bell, the belfry, and the grounds around the tower. There is much work to do and the cost is great. The Friends of Historic Glendale Cemetery, along with numerous foundations, corporations, and individuals have generously contributed to the restoration effort.
The project is expected to last approximately 5 months, followed with a rededication celebration in September of this year. Please feel free to visit the Glendale Cemetery to witness the progress of the restoration project during the upcoming months.
