Movie Night

Saturday, September 21, 2019

8th Annual Free Outdoor Movie Night hosted by The City of Akron, Knight Foundation, and Akron Community Foundation

"The Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (1977, rated PG) will be showing at 8:00 p.m. on the Great Meadow.

The cemetery gates (Exchange St. only!) will open at 6:00 p.m. and trolley service will be provided before and after the movie.

Parking for the event and trolley service will run from the parking lot at the top of Locust/Wills streets.  There will be two trolleys running between the lot and the Great Meadow.  Trolley service stops when the movie begins and will resume immediately following (approx. 9:30pm).  Additional parking is available on Exchange St., near January Paint & Wallpaper.

There will be several local food vendors here with a variety of food, snack, and beverage options for the evening or you may bring a picnic basket along with your blankets and lawn chairs.  We do not allow pets on the property during special events, so please leave your dogs at home for the movie.

If it rains, this event will be moved to the following day, Sunday September 22, 2019 at the same time.
